Christine Evans
Coming
off her nation-wide Canadian tour last summer, 16 year old singer-songwriter
Christine Evans has teamed up with Operation Respect to promote tolerance and
respect.
“
I love working with Peter Yarrow—he has always been an inspiration to
me in the way he uses music to reach out to people. I’m proud to represent
Operation Respect, because I really want to find a balance between doing what
I love—performing, writing and singing—and being involved in helping
others. I really want to be involved in a cause that I believe in.”
Christine grew up in Victoria, British Columbia and has released two albums
through Warner Canada which have met with critical acclaim. Youthblog.org writes,
I love this album. Musically it’s pop with an evocative edge, and pulls
off the difficult trick of exploring existential angst but always maintaining
strength and hope within the song.
Christine is now attending high school in New Jersey, which allows her to appear
as a guest artist at various Operation Respect conferences on the east coast
and to continue her vocal studies in Manhattan.
